The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Kenichi Hosakawa and Taro Takaoka.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Da Rosa goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Da Rosa fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Da Rosa is looking to clinch but Akyat is avoiding it.
Da Rosa throws a head kick but Akyat moves out of range.
Da Rosa with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Akyat to score with a decent uppercut.

It looks like Jos Da Rosa has been cut.
Akyat throws a low kick but Da Rosa moves out of range easily.
Da Rosa tries to clinch but Akyat moves away
and Akyat counters with a good low kick that Da Rosa was not able to check.
A thudding body kick lands there by Akyat!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Akyat throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Da Rosa, right into the meat.
Da Rosa looks to land a right hand but Akyat moved out of range.
Da Rosa misses with a body kick.
Akyat throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

Da Rosa has closed the distance and engaged Akyat in a clinch.
Da Rosa tries to throw a body punch but Akyat avoids it by throwing Da Rosa back against the cage.
Akyat tries to break the clinch but Da Rosa is controlling the position.

Akyat's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Da Rosa tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Akyat manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
The fight stays on the outside here - Da Rosa looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Akyat keeps the fight on the outside.
Da Rosa throws a sloppy head kick
and Akyat counters with a body kick.
Da Rosa looks gassed!
Da Rosa tries to score with a low kick but Akyat moves his leg out of the way.

A solid leg kick lands there for Akyat.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Akyat.
Da Rosa blocks a head kick by Akyat.
Akyat moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Da Rosa crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Akyat - the referee stops the clock and Da Rosa gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Akyat. Da Rosa manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Akyat scores with a head kick. Da Rosa tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

Akyat lands a big head kick that sends Da Rosa tumbling to the mat! Akyat takes a step backwards and waves Da Rosa back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Da Rosa is rocked!

Jos Da Rosa's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Jos Da Rosa's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Tiagong Akyat!
