Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Matt Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stefan Pozsgai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Miller kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Johnny Cash - Hurt. Pozsgai is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Face in the Sand. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Matt Miller! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
25 - 11 - 2, fighting out of Los Angeles, Stefan Pozsgai! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Ren Mimura and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Miller takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Pozsgai moves out of range as Miller strikes. Miller avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Miller shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Miller thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Pozsgai avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Miller. Pozsgai is holding on to half guard well. Miller takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pozsgai regains full guard. Nicely done.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pozsgai keeping full guard, as Miller tries to pass. Miller throws a big elbow that misses. Miller with a flurry of punches that miss. Miller is stalling in the full guard. Miller throws a big right hand that misses. Pozsgai controls Miller momentarily but Miller frees himself. Pozsgai looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Miller puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pozsgai is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Miller trying to control from half guard but Pozsgai is working away. Miller thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Pozsgai's head. Miller missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Miller is keen to just control but Pozsgai is a slippery customer. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Pozsgai moves out of range as Miller strikes. Miller throws a right hand that misses
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Pozsgai takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Miller buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Miller takes a swing at Pozsgai's ribcage but misses. Miller blocks a head kick by Pozsgai.
Miller shoots for a takedown but Pozsgai saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Miller tries to land a leg kick but Pozsgai saw it coming and moves away.
Miller has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Miller there as he acknowledges the shot. Miller fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Pozsgai manages to avoid it. A solid leg kick lands there for Miller.
A low kick from Pozsgai misses letting Miller counter with a right hand. Miller looks to land a left hand but Pozsgai moved out of range nicely. Pozsgai moves out of range of the leg kick from Miller.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pozsgai moves out of range of the body kick from Miller.
Miller throws a lazy right hand but Pozsgai sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Miller closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Pozsgai has his hands clasped together around Miller's back. He's all about the action. Pozsgai trying to control but Miller postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Miller passes to side control. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Pozsgai can't do much from the bottom here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Matt Miller dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

and Miller counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Pozsgai thinking. Pozsgai misses with a left hand and Miller connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Miller throws a hook but Pozsgai blocks it. Miller scores with a body shot.
Miller finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Pozsgai fails with a takedown attempt. Pozsgai lands with a hook. Miller tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pozsgai scores with a jab to the body. Miller scores with a slapping inside leg kick. A nice inside leg kick there by Pozsgai. That's going to slow Miller down. Miller wants to slow Pozsgai down by chopping away at his legs. Miller misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Pozsgai.
Miller closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Pozsgai quickly recovers to half guard. Miller wants to take a breather but Pozsgai is having none of it. Miller throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Miller trying to control the action but Pozsgai is working from the bottom. Miller sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Pozsgai defending well though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Miller not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Still in half guard, Miller seems content to control. Miller thows a huge punch but Pozsgai dodges it nicely.
Miller wants to lay and pray for a moment but Pozsgai keeps working. Miller has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Miller not doing much here.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Pozsgai tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Miller was well out of range. Poor timing from Pozsgai. A solid body kick from Pozsgai. Miller slips a straight right by Pozsgai. A slapping leg kick lands for Miller.
Pozsgai shoots for a double leg takedown but Miller sprawls well. He's pushed Pozsgai's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Miller connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Matt Miller is winning the standup battle so far. Miller scores with a jab to the body. Miller feints and as Pozsgai raises his hands in defense, Miller changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Miller engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Miller postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Miller in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Miller wants to control from the top but Pozsgai keeps moving. Miller throwing strikes from guard but Pozsgai blocks nicely. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Miller slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Matt Miller has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Pozsgai takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Pozsgai misses with a hook. Miller ducked under it nicely. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Matt Miller dominated that second round. That's time! Miller's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Pozsgai lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Miller fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Pozsgai avoids it really well and circles away. Miller lands a leg kick that knocks Pozsgai off balance momentarily. Pozsgai throws a sloppy head kick and Miller moves out of range easily. Miller lands a jab to the nose. Good leg kick by Miller there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Miller cracks a nice hook into Pozsgai's ribs. Pozsgai throws a hook but Miller avoids it easily. Pozsgai thows a body kick. Miller tries to catch it but that hurt him. Pozsgai scores with a leg kick.
Pozsgai misses the jab. The fighters circling - Pozsgai throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
That's one minute gone in the round. Miller fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Pozsgai throws a nice looking combination but Miller bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Miller scores with a jab to the head.

That was a close round but Matt Miller did the better work so I'd imagine he'll take it. That's time! Back to the action!

Matt Miller seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Miller swings away with a leg kick that misses. Miller throws a hook to the side of Pozsgai's head but Pozsgai sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Miller misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Pozsgai.

Miller throws a leg kick but Pozsgai sees it coming and moves out of range. Miller lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Miller takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Miller lands with a nice combination. Pozsgai backs away looking to recover. Miller throws a jab but it's blocked by Pozsgai. Pozsgai lands a head kick. Miller smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Pozsgai slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Pozsgai throws a leg kick which misses Miller's front leg but catches the back leg as Miller tries to avoid it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pozsgai closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Pozsgai lands in his opponent's guard. Stefan Pozsgai dominated that fourth round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! And we move into the final round!
Pozsgai uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Miller has time to react. Pozsgai shoots in for a takedown but Miller shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Miller takes a swing at Pozsgai's ribcage but misses. A looping hook to the body misses from Miller. Pozsgai does a little dance to reset his feet. Miller misses with a body shot.

and Pozsgai counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Pozsgai cracks Miller with a good jab. Miller shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Pozsgai defends it nicely. Pozsgai lands with a thumping leg kick.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Pozsgai. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Miller.
That's one minute gone in the round. Miller looking to score a takedown here. Pozsgai is defending well but Miller drives through and ends up in Pozsgai's guard. Both of our modern day gladiators look out of it here - an gruelling 5 rounds of action taking it's toll on them, no doubt. Miller trying to control but Pozsgai is working from the bottom. Pozsgai is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Pozsgai wriggles free and stands up. Pozsgai fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Pozsgai leaves Miller with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Stefan Pozsgai has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Matt Miller. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Miller pushes Pozsgai against the cage but Pozsgai circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Pozsgai fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Miller has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Pozsgai feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Miller's calf. No luck for Pozsgai with that takedown attempt. Miller throws a body punch but Pozsgai moves out of range.

Miller cracks Pozsgai with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Miller throws a shot from downtown. Pozsgai moves away and avoids it. Pozsgai swings away with a body shot that misses
and Miller counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Miller throws out a leg kick but Pozsgai moves out of range and Miller only half commits. Miller misses with a hook. Pozsgai ducked under it nicely. Miller takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Matt Miller is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Miller connects with a jab. A slow jab from Miller misses its intended target. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Miller is defended easily by Pozsgai. Miller takes a head kick and keeps coming.
It looks like Matt Miller has been cut. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. A nice inside leg kick there by Miller. That's going to slow Pozsgai down. Pozsgai shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Miller manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Pozsgai throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Miller works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! Stefan Pozsgai comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Miller has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
