Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Boyd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Bonham (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Boyd comes into the arena with Sub Focus - Last Jungle blaring out of the sound system. Alexander Boyd had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 147.2lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Wesley Smith and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boyd throws a jab but it's blocked by Bonham.
Boyd swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Boyd takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Boyd walks into a stiff left hand from Bonham.
Boyd moves in looking to clinch but Bonham pushes him off.
Bonham moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Bonham's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Boyd connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Bonham scrambles back to his feet.

Bonham is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Boyd throws a body punch but Bonham moves out of range.

Boyd shoots in looking for a takedown. Bonham tries to sprawl out of it but Boyd keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bonham manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

After winning the bout, John Bonham thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
