Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Amir Subdollah (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Petri Saarinen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Petri Saarinen will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Amir Subdollah!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Petri Saarinen!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Cecil Peabody and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Subdollah closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Saarinen did well to prevent Subdollah getting side control.
Saarinen wants to improve his position but Subdollah is controlling well.
Saarinen is positioning himself well to prevent Subdollah advancing to mount.
Saarinen pushes Subdollah off looking to stand but Subdollah dives back in and keeps control.
Saarinen is trying to control but can't.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Saarinen looks like he's trying to stand up.
Subdollah is controlling the pace.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Subdollah seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Saarinen for as long as he can get away with.

Saarinen escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Subdollah gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Saarinen is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Subdollah throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Saarinen works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Saarinen looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Subdollah has picked Saarinen up and slammed him! Saarinen can't keep hold of the triangle and Subdollah manages to pass to side control!
