Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John McClane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeff Speakman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McClane comes to the cage accompanied by Refuse/Resist. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, John McClane! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jeff Speakman! The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Paulsen Ambrosius and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Speakman misses with a double jab
and McClane counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Speakman slips under a jab. McClane misses with a series of wild punches.
Speakman fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Speakman throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
It looks like John McClane has been cut. McClane tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Speakman was well out of range. Poor timing from McClane. McClane throws a hook but Speakman avoids it easily. McClane takes a jab right on the kisser.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Speakman moves away from the strike by McClane.
That's one minute gone in the round. McClane connects with a right hand. Speakman shakes it off.
It looks like Jeff Speakman has been cut. McClane misses with a kick to the body.
Speakman takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Speakman takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
McClane misses with a low kick.
Jeff Speakman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. McClane throws a jab but it's blocked by Speakman. Speakman moves away from the strike by McClane. McClane ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Speakman moves away. Speakman rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but McClane moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A punch combination from Speakman misses. Speakman throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and McClane makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Some wild striking there from Speakman.
Speakman misses with a double jab.
McClane shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Speakman scores with a three punch combo!
McClane throws a leg kick that is checked and Speakman counters with a straight right hand. Oooooh!!! Speakman has knocked McClane down with a huge combo! Speakman steps away and waves a wobbly McClane back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
McClane is rocked!
John McClane's cut is getting worse. The fighters circling - McClane throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McClane waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Speakman. Speakman looks to land a combination but McClane avoids it well. Speakman takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Speakman lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but McClane circles away quickly and effectively. Speakman throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and McClane connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. McClane throws a right and a left that both miss. McClane throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Speakman on the side of the head. A nice combination there by Speakman.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. A combination from Speakman does no damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. McClane connects with a high kick.
That has opened up Jeff Speakman's cut even more. Speakman lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
John McClane's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. McClane circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Speakman to the canvas! Speakman doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - McClane keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). John McClane! After winning the bout, John McClane thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
