Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hernandez Xavi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Malachi Imperfect (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Ren Mimura and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Xavi fails with the takedown
and Imperfect counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Xavi's guard now.
Imperfect loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Xavi has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Imperfect off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Imperfect looking to score a takedown here. Xavi is defending well but Imperfect drives through and ends up in Xavi's guard.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Imperfect trying to control the position from guard on top but Xavi is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Xavi uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Imperfect gets caught napping as Xavi dives in and scores a takedown. Imperfect manages to retain guard.
Xavi decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Xavi pushes Imperfect away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Imperfect gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Imperfect wants to lay and pray for a moment but Xavi keeps working.

Xavi takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Imperfect wants to control but Xavi is keeping him busy.

Malachi Imperfect dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Xavi leaves Imperfect with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Xavi fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Nice takedown defense from Xavi. No joy for Imperfect on that attempt.
Xavi shoots in and drives through. Imperfect sprawls well.

Imperfect won't let Xavi get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

Malachi Imperfect comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
