Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Lazarus Tate! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jin Seoul! The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Micheangelo Fripello and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Thud! ouch! good body kick from Tate - that will leave a mark!
Tate fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Seoul, pushing him back against the cage. Tate lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Seoul blocking some punches.
Tate lands a shoulder strike. Seoul blocks an uppercut.
Tate gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Seoul.
Tate lands with a short shot to the head. A short left from Tate. Seoul takes a shot to the head. Tate scores with a shoulder strike. A short right from Tate. Tate lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. This has been an exciting period of action! A nice left hand lands by Tate.
Tate softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Seoul's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Tate lands with a light punch inside. Tate lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Seoul jumps guard but Tate stands there with Seoul around his waist. Seoul gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Seoul's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Seoul tries to pull guard but Tate won't allow it.
Lazarus Tate has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jin Seoul. Tate lands a right hand. Seoul looks gassed! Seoul fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Tate lands a left hand that snaps the head of Seoul backwards.
Seoul is rocked! Tate fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Seoul takes a shot to the head. Seoul is still on wobbly legs! Can Tate finish him? Tate fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Seoul seems to have recovered his senses. Tate lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Tate lands a right hand that snaps the head of Seoul backwards. Tate dips a shoulder and cracks Seoul with a mighty uppercut! Seoul falls back against the cage and Tate unloads with a barrage of strikes! Seoul is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Tate screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
