The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Schmidt drives through and clinches with Ruxin against the ropes.

Schmidt lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Ruxin wants to get back to striking at distance but Schmidt won't allow it.
Schmidt prevents Ruxin from breaking the clinch.
Ruxin can't break the clinch.
Ruxin is trying to break the clinch but Schmidt has him pressed against the ropes.

Ruxin is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the ropes.

Ruxin blocks an elbow strike from Schmidt.
Ruxin tries to circle away but Schmidt has him pinned against the ropes.

Ruxin is rocked!
Schmidt creates a bit of space for himself and unleashed what can only be described as a tiger uppercut, straight out of Street Fighter! Ruxin crashes to the mat! Can he make it back to his feet in time? 3,4,5,6... it doesn't look like he's going to make it! Ruxin face plants back to the mat and the referee calls off the fight! Schmidt takes it with a brutal technical knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). John Schmidt!
A less than humble John Schmidt misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
