Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Victor Vladimir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ferenc Puskas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Victor Vladimir!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ferenc Puskas!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Skip Squint and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Puskas looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Vladimir fails to pull guard.
Vladimir fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Vladimir gets control of Puskas's arms and successfully pulls guard. Vladimir will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Vladimir throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Vladimir is trying to keep Puskas in close.
Vladimir wants to get back to his feet but Puskas is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Puskas looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Vladimir is fending him off so far but Puskas persists. Nope, Vladimir circles away and we're back to standing.

Vladimir stuffs the takedown attempt from Puskas. Puskas gets slowly back to his feet.
Puskas tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Vladimir paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Vladimir shoots in but Puskas avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Puskas throws a body punch but Vladimir moves out of range.

Vladimir throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Puskas tries to close the distance and clinch up but Vladimir swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Vladimir slaps away a takedown attempt from Puskas, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Vladimir tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Puskas misses with a takedown attempt - Vladimir sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Puskas fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Vladimir manages to avoid it.
Horrible takedown by Vladimir or perhaps it was just good defense by Puskas which made him look bad.

Vladimir is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
A nice leg kick lands there from Puskas.

A frustrated look appears on Puskas's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Vladimir is working for takedown but Puskas is calmly controlling the position for now.

Puskas jumps guard and drags Vladimir to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Puskas is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Vladimir sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Puskas's guard.
Puskas wants to get back to full guard.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Ferenc Puskas showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Vladimir's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Vladimir shoots in looking for a takedown but Puskas manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Vladimir's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Puskas's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Will Puskas go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Victor Vladimir.
I think Vladimir has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
