Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between James Woods (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Franklyn Vass (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vass comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Highway to Hell (AC/DC) kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Woods! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Franklyn Vass! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Tiny Johnson and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Woods scores with a kick to the midsection. Woods shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Woods stands and steps away. Vass gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Woods looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Vass is fending him off so far but Woods persists. Nope, Vass circles away and we're back to standing. Vass misses with a low kick. A momentary lapse in concentration from Vass enables Woods to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Vass manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Woods missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Vass keeping full guard, as Woods tries to pass. Woods is looking to stand up but Vass won't let him. This has been an exciting period of action! Woods is in close to Vass's body, working some short punches and elbows. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Woods accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Woods drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Vass manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Woods has Vass in his guard. Vass got a little sloppy there for a moment and Woods has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Vass has managed to get both his arms back between Woods's legs - danger averted.
That's one minute gone in the round. Woods working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Vass doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Vass manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Woods looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Woods keeping moving, preventing Vass from controlling successfully. Vass pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Woods is keeping the position for now. Vass avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Woods had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Vass defends it easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Woods working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Vass has passed into half guard!
Woods wants to get back to his feet.
Woods has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Woods is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Vass's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Vass's back! Woods lands a shot to the head. Woods sinks in the hooks and is looking for the choke. He's got it! Vass taps out!
