Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Yuki Sunhari (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gauge Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yuki Sunhari! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Gauge Thomas! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Thomas slaps away a takedown attempt from Sunhari, before circling back to the center of the mat. Sunhari shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Thomas but Thomas pushes him off and we're back to square one. Thomas fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Sunhari sprawls well initially but Thomas persists and gets the takedown into half guard. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Sunhari wants to get back to full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Thomas stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Sunhari could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Thomas throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Thomas tries to clinch but Sunhari is having none of it. Sunhari circles away from the clinch attempt.
Sunhari fails to land the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Yuki Sunhari. That's going to take a lot out of him. Sunhari circles away from the clinch attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Thomas misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Thomas stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Thomas wants it to stay on the feet. Sunhari slips a jab from Thomas. A looping hook to the body misses from Thomas. Sunhari does a little dance to reset his feet. Thomas misses with a body kick. Thomas drives through with a takedown into Sunhari's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Thomas lands a couple of decent looking shots. Thomas stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sunhari swivels though and keeps the full guard. Thomas throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Thomas throws a big elbow that misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Thomas trying to control the position from guard on top but Sunhari is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Thomas throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Thomas controls from within his opponent's guard.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Gauge Thomas hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Thomas tries to close the distance and clinch but Sunhari swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Sunhari circles away from the clinch attempt.
Thomas stuffs the takedown attempt from Sunhari. Sunhari gets slowly back to his feet. Sunhari is breathing heavily. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Sunhari clinches.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sunhari tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Thomas can't find room to land a body shot as Sunhari controls the action.

Sunhari tightens his grip and picks Thomas up, before dumping him to the ground. Thomas manages to land in guard. Thomas preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Thomas is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Sunhari rolls with it to try and escape but Thomas cranks on the arm and Sunhari is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Gauge Thomas! Gauge Thomas bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
