Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Kieron Radebe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Jay Erikson!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Chris Edwards and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Radebe tries to bum rush Erikson with a series of wild strikes but Erikson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Erikson has Radebe up against the cage in a clinch.
Radebe breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Radebe connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Radebe lands a big head kick that sends Erikson tumbling to the mat! Radebe takes a step backwards and waves Erikson back to his feet - he wants the finish!
It looks like Jay Erikson has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Erikson is defended easily by Radebe.
Radebe throws a sloppy head kick and Erikson moves out of range easily.
Erikson has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Radebe.
Radebe moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Radebe feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Erikson's calf.
Erikson looks gassed!
Radebe misses with a head kick.
Radebe feints and then cracks Erikson's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Erikson down.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Radebe thumps Erikson with a low kick.
Radebe cracks the inside of Erikson's front leg.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Radebe turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Radebe cracks Erikson with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Erikson looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Radebe finish him?
Radebe lands a nice hook to Erikson's body. Erikson takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Radebe throws a quick head kick that knocks Erikson silly! This fight is all over! What a finish! Radebe is up on the cage, taking in the applause from the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Kieron Radebe!
