Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jarez De Ertu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Don Kier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jarez De Ertu! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Don Kier! The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Chris Saunders and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kier has De Ertu up against the ropes in a clinch.
Kier has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but De Ertu regains guard immediately. De Ertu is working an open guard so Kier takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Jarez De Ertu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kier keeps the fight on the outside. De Ertu finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Kier scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. De Ertu tries to bench press Kier off him but Kier keeps the position. Kier cracks De Ertu with a big elbow. Kier staying calm. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Kier working the head and body with strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kier working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Kier stands up and beckons De Ertu to his feet. No luck for De Ertu with that takedown attempt. De Ertu is looking to clinch but Kier is avoiding it.
De Ertu really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Kier keeps the fight on the outside. The fight moves into the clinch position. De Ertu is fighting off a takedown attempt but Kier is just too persistent for him and manages to trip De Ertu to the mat. De Ertu regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. De Ertu is trying to control the position but Kier postures up. Kier wants to pass the guard but De Ertu is keeping the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kier throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as De Ertu works some decent striking defense from the bottom. De Ertu knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kier on the ground. Kier looking to control the position here, rather than advance. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. De Ertu keeping moving, preventing Kier from controlling successfully.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Don Kier was stalling too much, according to the referee. De Ertu looks for a takedown but Kier sprawls well. Kier closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee asks Kier politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Kier prefers to stall for the moment though. De Ertu prevents Kier from moving into mount. Kier decides to stand back up. De Ertu wants to clinch but Kier slips to the side and Kier moves into the clinch. Kier lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
De Ertu on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if De Ertu tries to get out of the position. Kier stalling. Kier stops De Ertu from getting back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Kier gets to his feet - back to striking we go! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. De Ertu misses with a takedown and Kier counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for De Ertu! That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jarez De Ertu. That's going to take a lot out of him. De Ertu is breathing heavily. Kier lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Kier is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. De Ertu can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Kier can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as De Ertu is looking to escape. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. De Ertu taking shots to the head. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! De Ertu is in a horrible position here. Kier smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Don Kier dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from De Ertu is defended easily by Kier. Jarez De Ertu is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Kier rushes De Ertu and presses him up against the ropes. Kier escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
De Ertu misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Kier leaves De Ertu with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jarez De Ertu. That's going to take a lot out of him. De Ertu defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Kier. Excellent takedown into side control there by Kier. Kier has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Kier lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear De Ertu down.
Kier has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Kier has been the more effective fighter overall so far. A momentary lapse in concentration from De Ertu enables Kier to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. De Ertu manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kier pushes down on De Ertu's leg and manages to get into half guard. Kier is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so De Ertu is just riding it out for now. Kier eventually gives up the hold. Kier content to control rather than advance. De Ertu taking some punishment here, with Kier in his half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kier passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for De Ertu! Kier swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and De Ertu is now in Kier's guard. A big mistake from Kier there, giving up the dominant position! Kier is trying to control the position but De Ertu postures up. Kier had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. De Ertu defends it easily. De Ertu trying to control the position from guard on top but Kier is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. De Ertu passes Kier's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Kier trying to hold on to De Ertu's head to control him but De Ertu postures up.
Kier tries to roll over but De Ertu keeps him under control. Kier is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. De Ertu is looking to take a break and control but Kier is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Kier is pressing down on De Ertu's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. De Ertu wants to stand and escape but instead Kier has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Kier missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Kier is pushing down on De Ertu's leg trying to pass to half guard. De Ertu is fighting to maintain full guard but Kier has managed to sneak the leg through. Kier seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Let's hope that Kier has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Ground and pound from Kier. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Don Kier showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Kier forces De Ertu back against the ropes and clinches. Kier ties up his opponent against the ropes and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Kier no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. De Ertu trying to stand up but can't free himself from Kier's guard. De Ertu avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Kier is trying to control the position but De Ertu postures up. Kier lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for De Ertu! Kier putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
That's one minute gone in the round. Kier lands a big elbow. Kier won't let De Ertu get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Kier jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but De Ertu manages to avoid the submission attempt. Kier working the ground and pound from side control. Both fighters are breathing heavily. You can see the frustration on De Ertu's face as Kier controls the position. Kier in side control lands a decent elbow. Kier is staying tight to De Ertu's torso, preventing him from escaping. Kier lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kier wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by De Ertu, who protects the arm well. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! De Ertu can't do much from the bottom here. De Ertu trying to remain calm as Kier controls from the top position. Kier avoids the strikes from the bottom by De Ertu. De Ertu takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

De Ertu is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Kier asserts his dominance and retains side control. De Ertu taking a bit of punishment here - Kier scoring with strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kier advances to full mount. Kier landing strikes, looking to finish! Kier with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Kier is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but De Ertu is surviving well by controlling Kier's body position as best he can. Kier is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. De Ertu can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kier looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Kier working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. This has been an exciting period of action! De Ertu is working to get back to half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kier can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as De Ertu is looking to escape. Jarez De Ertu has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Don Kier is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. De Ertu flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
And that's the end of the fight! Don Kier comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Kier has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
