Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Igor Barbosa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jesper Elbaek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Barbosa might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Eye of the tiger. Elbaek has chosen Just give up, or sub as his entrance music. Igor Barbosa has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Mauricio Rocha and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Elbaek tries a head kick but it misses.
Barbosa decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Barbosa is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Elbaek can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Barbosa takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Barbosa has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Igor Barbosa.
Elbaek bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Elbaek tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Elbaek has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Barbosa is trying to control Elbaek's posture but Elbaek avoids it.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Barbosa is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Elbaek has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Elbaek refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Elbaek's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!

A less than humble Igor Barbosa misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
