Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Arshad Singh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anton LaVey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Singh kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Check it out. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
24 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Arshad Singh! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Anton LaVey! The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Roger Salmon and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! LaVey is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Singh. LaVey shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Singh sprawls well. Singh wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. LaVey gets slowly back to his feet. Singh instigates a clinch. Singh pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. LaVey tries to close the distance and clinch up but Singh swats him away and circles back towards the center. A thudding body kick lands there by Singh!
LaVey throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Singh's waist but Singh gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing LaVey off to one side. Singh defends well against a solid takedown attempt from LaVey. Arshad Singh has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Anton LaVey. Singh lands with a nice body punch. LaVey shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Singh as he jumps to the side. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Singh lands a jab to the head.
LaVey just misses with a punch to the body.
Singh fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
LaVey closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. LaVey shoots in looking for a takedown but Singh manages to keep the fight standing, pushing LaVey's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Singh turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. LaVey looks gassed! Singh with a nice cross.
That's one minute gone in the round. Singh connects with a high kick.
That has opened up Anton LaVey's cut even more. Singh fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with LaVey, pushing him back against the cage. Singh keeps control of LaVey as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Singh has LaVey pressed against the cage, preventing LaVey from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Stalling in the clinch from Singh.
Singh is trying to trip LaVey. He has hold of a leg but LaVey is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Singh persists though and gets the takedown into guard. LaVey not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
LaVey has a closed guard, preventing Singh from standing up. LaVey looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Singh has picked LaVey up and slammed him! LaVey can't keep hold of the triangle and Singh manages to pass to side control! Singh scores with punches from side control. Singh has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! LaVey being controlled for a moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Singh advances to full mount. LaVey is wriggling around trying to escape.
Singh cracks LaVey with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Singh swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Arshad Singh! Arshad Singh took to the mic after the fight and begged the organizational hierarchy for a shot at the title.
