The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Tarja Halkonen and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Puska lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Puska lands a two punch combo.
Puska shoots in for a double leg but Velcic sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Velcic lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Velcic with a jab.
It looks like Mike Puska has been cut.
Puska looks to score with a jab to the body but Velcic is just out of range.
Puska throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Velcic on the side of the head.
Velcic throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Puska.
Velcic takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Puska closes this distance looking for a takedown but Velcic circles away.
Puska misses with a body shot.
Puska uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Velcic.
Velcic throws a leg kick but Puska sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Velcic attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Velcic bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Velcic throws out a leg kick but Puska moves out of range and Velcic only half commits.

Velcic lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Puska circles away quickly and effectively.
Velcic with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Velcic does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Velcic takes a swing at Puska's ribcage but misses.

Velcic throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Velcic connects with a body shot that sends Puska's belly button to the back.
Puska connects with a solid leg kick.
Puska shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Puska showed some decent athleticism there.
Velcic wants to control but Puska is keeping busy.
Velcic has hold of Puska's hands but Puska slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Velcic slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Velcic looking to hit a scissor sweep but Puska is one step ahead there.
Velcic will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
