The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beam loads up on a big right hand but Muromets slips the punch.

Muromets closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Beam quickly recovers to half guard.

Muromets is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Beam is just riding it out for now. Muromets eventually gives up the hold.

Beam is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Muromets not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Muromets here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
Beam is staying active underneath Muromets, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Muromets, as that shot connected.

Beam seems to have recovered his senses.

Muromets shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Beam's guard.

Muromets is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Beam got a little sloppy there for a moment and Muromets has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Beam has managed to get both his arms back between Muromets's legs - danger averted.

Beam stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Muromets swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Beam stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Muromets has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Beam manages to get his head free but now Muromets has transitioned to an armbar! Beam grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Muromets! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
