Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sergio Lesnar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lou Black!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Black throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Lesnar sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Black pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Lesnar circles away from the clinch attempt.
Lesnar shoots in but Black avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Black wants to clinch but Lesnar slips to the side

and Lesnar counters with a single leg into guard. Black didn't expect that.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Black wriggles free and stands up.
Jab, jab by Black - just one landing.
Lou Black seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A combination from Black does no damage.
Black wants to clinch up but Lesnar keeps it at a distance.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Lesnar - that will leave a mark!
Black misses with an uppercut
letting Lesnar counter with a right hand.
Lesnar fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Lesnar avoids the body shot from Black.
Black misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Lesnar counters with a lovely straight right hand!
A lazy left from Lesnar finds it's target.

Lesnar digs a good hook to Black's body.
Black throws a nice looking combination but Lesnar bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Lesnar cracks Black with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Lesnar darts in and clinches Black up against the cage.
Lesnar using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Black has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Lesnar blocking some punches.

It looks like Lou Black has been cut.

Black prevents a body shot from Lesnar.
Lesnar lands a knee to the head.

Black managing to block the knees to the body from Lesnar.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Lesnar tries for a takedown but Black manages to get underhooks.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sergio Lesnar. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lesnar misses with a punch to the body.

Black lands with a right to the head.

Black manages to break the clinch.
Lesnar waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Black.
Lesnar is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.


It looks like Sergio Lesnar has been cut.
Black scores with a hook to the body. Lesnar takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Black throws a hook but Lesnar avoids it easily.
Lesnar shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Black eats them both and turns towards Lesnar to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Lesnar lands with a shot to the body.

Lesnar gets a takedown into half guard.
Black pushes Lesnar off looking to stand but Lesnar dives back in and keeps control.
Black keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Lesnar prevents Black from standing back up.

Lesnar is looking for a kimura here.
Lesnar wants to lay and pray for a moment but Black keeps working.
Black really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lesnar. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Lesnar has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Black defend it? Lesnar steps over the head and cranks it - Black is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Lesnar!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Sergio Lesnar!
