Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kuitton Jaksonen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kari Karhu!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Roosa Järviläinen and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jaksonen shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jaksonen gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Jaksonen closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Karhu to the mat! Karhu manages to get full guard.
Karhu is trying to control the position but Jaksonen postures up.

Jaksonen throws a strike but Karhu rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Jaksonen wants to stand and escape but Karhu is having none of it.
Karhu advances to half guard.
Jaksonen wants to control but Karhu is keeping busy.

Jaksonen looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Jaksonen is breathing heavily.
Karhu wants to pass to mount but Jaksonen is defending the position.

Jaksonen is not content to let Karhu control the position.
Karhu works his way into side control.
Jaksonen is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Karhu has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Jaksonen tries to bench press Karhu off him but Karhu keeps the position.
Jaksonen knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Karhu on the ground.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.

Karhu gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Jaksonen looking to sit in guard and control but Karhu gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Jaksonen looking for a sweep. Not yet Jaksonen, not yet.
Jaksonen on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Jaksonen tries to get out of the position.
Karhu works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Jaksonen is not content to let Karhu control the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Kari Karhu will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Jaksonen closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Jaksonen cracks Karhu with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Karhu is trying to control Jaksonen's posture but Jaksonen avoids it.
Jaksonen tries to score with some ground and pound. Karhu controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Karhu is trying to get back to half guard.

Karhu gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Jaksonen takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Karhu looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Karhu is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Jaksonen lands a nice short elbow.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Jaksonen slips a nice elbow through Karhu's hands, connecting with Karhu's forehead.

Karhu is still in real trouble! Can Jaksonen finish him?

Jaksonen looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Karhu with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Jaksonen lands a big elbow - Karhu is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Jaksonen!
