Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Bader (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rex Lugor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rex Lugor has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ryan Bader!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Rex Lugor!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Paul Aken and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lugor wants to clinch

and Bader moves into the clinch.
Lugor wants to break the clinch but can't.
Bader is looking to break free of the clinch but Lugor has double underhooks.

Lugor manages to pull guard.
Bader stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lugor swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Lugor looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Bader stands up and waves to Lugor to follow him.
Lugor slaps away a takedown attempt from Bader, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Lugor lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bader shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Lugor as he jumps to the side.
Bader stuffs the takedown attempt from Lugor. Lugor gets slowly back to his feet.
Crunch! Lugor slams his shin into Bader's torso.
Lugor moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Lugor darts in trying to clinch

and Bader counters by clinching up.
Bader managing to block the knees to the body from Lugor.
Lugor missing with knees to the body.
Bader misses with a knee to the head.
Lugor tries to throw a body punch but Bader avoids it by throwing Lugor back against the cage.
Bader is trying to break free.
Lugor is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Bader to keep the fight standing.

Lugor lands an elbow inside.
Bader avoids a wild elbow strike from Lugor.
Lugor is trying to pull guard but Bader turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Ryan Bader has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rex Lugor.
Lugor has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Lugor tries to circle away but Bader has him pinned against the cage.
Bader gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Lugor.
Bader has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Lugor is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Lugor tries to stall but Bader uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Bader drops down looking for an ankle pick but Lugor pulls his leg out and moves away.

Bader scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

Bader closes the distance and pushes Lugor back into the cage.
Lugor lands a knee to the head.
Lugor is trying to break the clinch but Bader is controlling him.
Bader blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Lugor tries to pull guard but Bader won't allow it.

Bader pulls guard effortlessly.
Lugor throws a big elbow that misses.
Lugor looks gassed!
Lugor looking to sit in guard and control but Bader gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Bader content to stall in guard here.

Bader stands up and waves to Lugor to follow him.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Bader avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Rex Lugor will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Lugor takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Lugor gets a clinch.
Lugor has a couple of punches blocked by Bader.
Bader wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Bader wants the takedown. Lugor is fighting it off but Bader persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Lugor's guard against the cage.
Lugor is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Bader forces his way into half guard.
Lugor is trying to get back to full guard.
Lugor trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!

Lugor regains half guard.

Bader is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Bader not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Lugor is looking to improve his position.
Lugor is breathing heavily.
Bader is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Bader seems to be looking for submissions.
Bader sitting and controlling from the half guard.

Lugor tries to kick Bader off but Bader keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Ryan Bader wasn't doing enough on the ground.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Lugor is defended easily by Bader.
Lugor closes the distance but Bader moves to the side
enabling Bader to counter with a crisp jab.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Bader.
Bader tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Lugor swivels and escapes.
Ryan Bader is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Bader lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Lugor backs up against the cage.
Lugor closes the distance looking to clinch
and Lugor takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Bader closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Lugor to the mat! Lugor manages to get full guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Lugor is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Lugor preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Ryan Bader dominated that second round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!


Bader looks for a takedown but Lugor sprawls well.
Bader fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Lugor tries to clinch up but Bader circles away and keeps his distance.

Lugor drives through with a takedown into Bader's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Lugor wants to get up but he can't break Bader's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Lugor wants to stand and escape but instead Bader has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Lugor really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bader. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Bader loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Bader passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Lugor managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Bader.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lugor is trying to escape the position but Bader is controlling the position.
Lugor tries to improve position but can't.
Bader tries to advance to mount but Lugor denies him.

Bader slows the pace down.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Bader passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Lugor!
Bader scoring with strikes but Lugor is staying in there.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Lugor wants to control but Bader is having none of it.
Bader controlling the position easily from mount.

Bader stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.

Bader clinches up against the cage.
Bader looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Bader has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Lugor after a bit of a struggle.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ryan Bader. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Bader slows down the pace here.
Bader wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

Bader decides to pull guard.

Bader has his foot on Lugor's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Lugor works his way back into a safe position though.
Lugor stands and throws Bader's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Bader is not content to let Lugor control the position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Bader is holding Lugor down, trying to stall.

Ryan Bader showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Bader has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
