Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bobby Tate! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Roberto Klinkhammer! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Gregory Folan and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tate fails with a takedown attempt. Klinkhammer moves away from the strike by Tate. Klinkhammer throws a jab when Tate was well out of range. Tate takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Nice straight punches there by Klinkhammer. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Klinkhammer. Tate fails with the takedown. Tate closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Tate tries to score with some ground and pound. Klinkhammer controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Klinkhammer takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Tate wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Klinkhammer, who protects the arm well. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Tate throws an elbow but Klinkhammer slips to the side and avoids it well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Klinkhammer regains half guard, as Tate was trying to land strikes. Klinkhammer is defending against the submission attempts here by Tate.
Tate thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tate not landing any meaningful shots this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Klinkhammer is looking to control Tate's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Klinkhammer avoid being mounted? Tate looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Tate is just content to waste time from the top position. Klinkhammer takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Klinkhammer trying to control the position here. Tate passes easily into side control. Nice work. Tate tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. You can see the frustration on Klinkhammer's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tate throws an elbow but Klinkhammer slips to the side and avoids it well. Klinkhammer struggling a bit here. Klinkhammer sneaks back into half guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Klinkhammer preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bobby Tate dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Klinkhammer throws a hook but Tate blocks it. Klinkhammer throws a jab but it's blocked by Tate. Klinkhammer moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Bobby Tate is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Tate tries to clinch there but Klinkhammer circles away.
Klinkhammer scores with a punch to the head. Klinkhammer keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Tate tries to clinch but Klinkhammer moves out of range. Tate tries for a takedown but Klinkhammer circles away easily enabling Klinkhammer to counter with a crisp jab. Tate shoots in looking for a takedown. Klinkhammer tries to sprawl out of it but Tate keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Klinkhammer manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Tate tries to clinch but Klinkhammer moves out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tate throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Klinkhammer's waist but Klinkhammer gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Tate off to one side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bobby Tate. That's going to take a lot out of him. Tate misses with a takedown and Klinkhammer cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Tate shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Klinkhammer defends it nicely. Roberto Klinkhammer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Tate shoots and misses enabling Klinkhammer to counter with a crisp jab.
It looks like Bobby Tate has been cut. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Tate looks up at the clock. Bad move! Klinkhammer lands a right hand from hell, dropping Tate. Klinkhammer pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
