Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mark Borocop (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ping Petunia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mark Borocop!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ping Petunia!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Dillan Fox and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Borocop swinging wildly here.
Borocop connects with a single shot there.
Petunia avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Borocop misses with a hook. Petunia ducked under it nicely.

Petunia shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Borocop throws a series of punches but Petunia avoids them all with ease.

and Petunia counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Borocop!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Petunia swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Borocop is now in Petunia's guard. A big mistake from Petunia there, giving up the dominant position!
Borocop knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Petunia on the ground.
Petunia is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Petunia has his foot on Borocop's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Borocop works his way back into a safe position though.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Mark Borocop.
Borocop throws an overhand right that lands on Petunia's shoulder, as Petunia tries to avoid the shot.
Borocop throws a lazy right hand but Petunia sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Borocop throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Borocop rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Petunia moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Petunia bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Petunia fails with the takedown
and Borocop counters with a nice uppercut.
Petunia shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Borocop sprawls well. Borocop wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Petunia gets slowly back to his feet.
Mark Borocop has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ping Petunia.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Borocop throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Petunia on the side of the head.

That was a close round but I would say that Mark Borocop will probably get the nod.
That's time! Borocop's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Petunia displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Borocop throws out the jab.

Borocop is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

and Borocop connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Borocop throws out a loose jab but Petunia uses good head movement to avoid it.

Borocop catches Petunia with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Petunia shoots in looking for a takedown but Borocop manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Petunia's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Borocop throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Borocop lands with an overhand left.
Borocop bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Petunia's head.
Petunia fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Borocop misses with a few strikes there.
Petunia shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Borocop as he jumps to the side.
Borocop throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Petunia steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Borocop.
Petunia looks for a takedown but Borocop sprawls well.
Borocop throws a hook to the side of Petunia's head but Petunia sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Petunia feints and as Borocop raises his hands in defense, Petunia changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Petunia drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Borocop dives on top into guard.

Borocop trying to control the position from guard on top but Petunia is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Petunia is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Petunia is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Petunia is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Petunia is trying to work for a kimura but Borocop is defending well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Ping Petunia will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Petunia shoots for a double leg takedown but Borocop sprawls well. He's pushed Petunia's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Borocop loads up on a big right hand but Petunia slips the punch.
Petunia moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Borocop works over Petunia's head and body with a nice combination.

Petunia is still on wobbly legs! Can Borocop finish him?

Petunia throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Borocop tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Petunia is in Borocop's guard.
Borocop wants to sweep but no luck.
Ping Petunia has got the better of the ground game so far.

Petunia drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Borocop manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Petunia has Borocop in his guard.
Petunia seems to have recovered his senses.
Petunia manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Petunia goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Borocop turns into him and now he's in Petunia's guard.
Borocop controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Petunia manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Borocop manages to get himself to full guard.

Petunia bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Borocop's guard.

Petunia works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Petunia looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Petunia is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Mark Borocop.
I think Borocop has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
