Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Stan Chowmein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Spezza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jason Spezza has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Stan Chowmein! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jason Spezza! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Elvis Blanc and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Spezza throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Chowmein rushes Spezza and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Chowmein jumps guard but Spezza turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Chowmein with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Chowmein can't get the takedown.

Chowmein wants a takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Stan Chowmein. That's going to take a lot out of him. Chowmein lands a hook to the side of the head. Chowmein lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Spezza gets back to full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Spezza is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Chowmein sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Spezza's guard. Chowmein seems to be working for a kimura but Spezza defends the submission attempt. Chowmein is pressing down on Spezza's thigh, looking to free his foot. Spezza is holding on for now. Chowmein is trying to control the action in half guard but Spezza is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Chowmein wants to free his trapped foot but Spezza is holding on for dear life with his legs.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Chowmein performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Spezza manages to get to full guard.
Spezza has a closed guard, preventing Chowmein from standing up. Spezza is trying to control the position but Chowmein postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Spezza looking for a sweep. Not yet Spezza, not yet. Chowmein tries to free his leg and advance position but Spezza is retaining full guard. Chowmein has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Spezza is pulling down on Chowmein's head. It's preventing any offense from Chowmein, at least for the moment. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Stan Chowmein has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Chowmein checks a leg kick. Chowmein drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Chowmein clinches up with Spezza and pushes him back against the cage. A battle for position here, against the cage. Chowmein prevents Spezza from breaking the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Spezza gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Chowmein.
Chowmein pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Chowmein moves out of range as Spezza strikes. A left lands for Spezza. Spezza lands with a straight right. Chowmein didn't see that one coming. Spezza misses with a hook. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Chowmein displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Spezza throws out the jab. Chowmein shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Spezza napping and manages to drive through into side control! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Chowmein wants to control but Spezza is keeping him busy. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Stan Chowmein will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
A big right from Spezza misses. Spezza darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Spezza throws the left hand but Chowmein avoids the punch easily. Spezza lands with a straight right. Chowmein didn't see that one coming. Stan Chowmein seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Spezza scores with a body shot.
No luck for Chowmein with that takedown attempt. Chowmein throws a wild hook but Spezza just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Chowmein gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Spezza raises his hands in celebration and walks away!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:37 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jason Spezza! Jason Spezza gave a mention to Vitality in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
