And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, JoeSon Do!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by prevost or perhaps it was just good defense by Do which made him look bad.
prevost tries for a takedown but Do sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Do looks to land a right hand but prevost moved out of range.
ryan prevost seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
prevost keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
prevost displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Do throws out the jab.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
prevost shoots in for a takedown but Do shows good takedown defense.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Some bone on bone action there as prevost checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Do throws an overhand right that lands on prevost's shoulder, as prevost tries to avoid the shot.
prevost looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Do is fending him off so far but prevost persists. Nope, Do circles away and we're back to standing.

Do looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for prevost!
Do can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as prevost is looking to escape.
Do lands with some strikes.
prevost is looking to improve his position but Do isn't that keen on the idea.

prevost holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Do tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Do lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Do sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Poor strikes thrown by Do there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Do takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
The referee warns prevost that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
BOOM! Do connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Do throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Do trying to control but prevost is having none of it.

Do can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as prevost is looking to escape.
Do looking to finish prevost with some ground and pound. This is bad for prevost!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Do thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
prevost tries to hold on but Do postures up.
Do pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Do swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and prevost is now in Do's guard. A big mistake from Do there, giving up the dominant position!

prevost wants to control from the top but Do keeps moving.
prevost will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Do looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but prevost puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
prevost seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Do does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Do tries to get to full guard but prevost has control of the leg.

Do is staying active underneath prevost, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
prevost is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

JoeSon Do showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
