Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Inspectah Knuckles!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jaakko Kilpinen!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Roosa Järviläinen and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Knuckles.
Kilpinen tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Knuckles is able to avoid easily.
Knuckles waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Kilpinen.

Knuckles gets the takedown into side control.
Knuckles working the head with strikes.
Kilpinen is trying to improve his position.
Knuckles misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Kilpinen parries the strikes from Knuckles easily there. Knuckles is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Kilpinen to escape.
Kilpinen gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Knuckles trying to pass the guard but Kilpinen defending well.
Knuckles trying to advance position but Kilpinen counters by regaining guard.

Kilpinen doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Knuckles postures up and lands a big shot to Kilpinen's brow.
Kilpinen is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Knuckles postures up in Kilpinen's guard and throws a big left but Kilpinen blocks it.
Kilpinen controls Knuckles momentarily but Knuckles frees himself.

Kilpinen working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Knuckles doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Knuckles manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Knuckles with a flurry of punches that miss.

Kilpinen keeping moving, preventing Knuckles from controlling successfully.
Kilpinen utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Knuckles looking to sit in guard and control but Kilpinen gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Knuckles looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Knuckles pushes Kilpinen off and scrambles back to his feet.
Knuckles feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Kilpinens jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A lazy left from Knuckles finds it's target.
A chopping leg kick lands by Kilpinen.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Good leg kick by Kilpinen there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Knuckles throws a head kick that misses
and Kilpinen counters with a nice low kick that buckles Knuckles's knee momentarily.

Knuckles throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Kilpinen was covering up waiting for the punch and Knuckles finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Knuckles is breathing heavily.
Knuckles won't allow Kilpinen to get back to his feet.
Knuckles with a flurry of punches that miss.

Kilpinen pushes Knuckles off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Kilpinen connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kilpinen lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Kilpinen, right into the meat.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Kilpinen clinches up with Knuckles and pushes him back against the cage.
Knuckles looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Kilpinen is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.
Kilpinen scores a nice knee to the body.
Kilpinen lands a knee to the head.
Knuckles takes a knee right on the jaw!


It looks like Inspectah Knuckles has been cut.
Kilpinen with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Kilpinen using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Knuckles has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Kilpinen connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Knuckles momentarily.

Kilpinen prevents Knuckles from breaking the clinch.
Knuckles misses with a hook from the clinch.

Knuckles tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Kilpinen just stands there and leans against the cage.
Kilpinen putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Knuckles in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kilpinen connects with a nasty looking knee right to Knuckles's face.
Kilpinen lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Knuckles backwards.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Kilpinen connects with a knee to the head.
Kilpinen lands a big knee to the head and Knuckles goes down! Kilpinen pounces and finishes the fight with strikes! He jumps to his feet and celebrates with the crowd!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jaakko Kilpinen!
Jaakko Kilpinen really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Reaper Combatwear logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
