Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alex Karelin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fdurtchz Millo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Millo has chosen Busta Rhymes, Break ya neck as his entrance music. Fdurtchz Millo will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alex Karelin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Fdurtchz Millo!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Johanna Lukiainen and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karelin shoots for a takedown but Millo saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Millo smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Millo closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Karelin quickly recovers to half guard.
Karelin tries to roll over but Millo keeps him under control.
Millo winds up and cracks Karelin with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Millo trying to pass the guard but Karelin defending well.
Millo is trying to control the action in half guard but Karelin is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Karelin makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Karelin.
Karelin is trying to control the position but Millo postures up.

Millo decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Karelin shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Millo is trying to defend but Karelin finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Karelin fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Millo to the ground. Karelin is now in Millo's guard.

Millo turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

That was a close round but I would say that Alex Karelin will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Millo closes the distance looking to clinch

and Karelin counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Millo's guard now.

Millo is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Karelin is aware though and is defending well.

Karelin is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Karelin wants to lay and pray for a moment but Millo keeps working.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Karelin in particular looking to stall.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Karelin is trying to control the action in half guard but Millo is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Millo manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Karelin manages to get himself to full guard.

Karelin knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Millo on the ground.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

A close second round but Fdurtchz Millo will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Karelin shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Millo napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Millo feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Alex Karelin overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Millo tries to land a knee to the head but Karelin blocks with his arms.

Karelin has Millo pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Karelin pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Millo tumbling to the mat - Karelin dives into Millo's guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Millo is on top in guard.

Millo stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Karelin shoots in looking for a takedown but Millo manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Karelin's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Fdurtchz Millo seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Millo tightens his grip and picks Karelin up, before dumping him to the ground. Karelin manages to land in guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Millo stands up from Karelin's guard - Millo perhaps looking for a knockout.
Millo tries to clinch up but Karelin circles away and keeps his distance.
Millo punishes Karelin's body with a nice straight punch.
Millo moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Millo fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Karelin avoids it really well and circles away.

And that's the end of the fight!
Fdurtchz Millo comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Millo has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
