Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Fabio Marques (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maramer David (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marques comes to the cage accompanied by slayer raining blood. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Andrew Berry and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
David fails with a takedown attempt.
Marques slaps away a takedown attempt from David, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Marques shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Marques decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
David shoots in for a takedown but Marques shows good takedown defense.
Fabio Marques has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Maramer David.
David closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Marques did well to prevent David getting side control.

David gets caught flat footed, as Marques shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Marques is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Marques is pushing down on David's leg trying to pass to half guard. David is fighting to maintain full guard but Marques has managed to sneak the leg through.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Marques content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Marques's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
David has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Marques is working away from the top position though.

Marques swats away the attempt to clinch by David.
Marques lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Marques.

David takes the fight into the clinch.
David tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

David gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Marques regains guard.

David wants to control from the top but Marques keeps moving.
David is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Marques is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
David with a flurry of punches that miss.
David tries to stand but Marques is controlling from the bottom.
David wants to stand and escape but instead Marques has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Marques gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Marques fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Fabio Marques. That's going to take a lot out of him.
David shoots in for a double leg but Marques sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
David is breathing heavily.

David tries to stall but Marques uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

David wants to improve his position but Marques is controlling well.
David takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Marques in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. David tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Marques!

Fabio Marques decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
