Palhares could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Wandeco dances in with a quick combination. Palhares is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Wandeco snaps Palhares 's head back. Palhares stumbles backwards against the cage. Wandeco steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Palhares 's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Palhares just didn't come prepared.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Wandy Wandeco!
After winning the bout, Wandy Wandeco thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
