Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Piugnu Kopo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Veli Schwarzeneg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 14 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Piugnu Kopo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
17 - 28 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Veli Schwarzeneg! The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Sergei Dronov and Viktor Lagutenko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Schwarzeneg closes this distance looking for a takedown but Kopo circles away. Veli Schwarzeneg seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Schwarzeneg shoots in and gets a takedown into Kopo's guard. Kopo looking to control.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Kopo wants to get back to his feet but Schwarzeneg is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Schwarzeneg gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Schwarzeneg is trying hard to land a takedown here. Kopo sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Kopo defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Schwarzeneg. Piugnu Kopo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Veli Schwarzeneg. Kopo shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Schwarzeneg pinned against the ropes. Schwarzeneg gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. The fight moves into the clinch position. Schwarzeneg has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Kopo regains guard immediately. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kopo can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Schwarzeneg controls the pace. Kopo is trying to control the position but Schwarzeneg postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kopo utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Schwarzeneg trying to control the position from guard on top but Kopo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kopo wants to sweep here but Schwarzeneg controlling him for the moment. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Kopo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Schwarzeneg doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Schwarzeneg manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Schwarzeneg throwing strikes but missing. Schwarzeneg gets to his feet. Kopo looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Schwarzeneg scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Schwarzeneg trying to control the position but Kopo is working away. Kopo is looking to reverse the position. Schwarzeneg decides to stand back up. Schwarzeneg steps back and let's Kopo get back to his feet. Kopo stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kopo wants it to stay on the feet. Schwarzeneg pushes Kopo up against the ropes in a clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Kopo tries to score a body lock takedown but Schwarzeneg shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Kopo stops a takedown attempt from Schwarzeneg.
Schwarzeneg drags the fight down to the ground.
Kopo throwing strikes from guard but Schwarzeneg blocks nicely. Kopo is working Schwarzeneg over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Kopo with a flurry of punches that miss. Schwarzeneg working a defensive guard but Kopo manages to pass into side control anyway.
Schwarzeneg is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Kopo off and has taken his back! Schwarzeneg not allowing Kopo to control his hands. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Schwarzeneg just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
Schwarzeneg is not going to allow Kopo to sit and survive in this position. Kopo tries to escape but Schwarzeneg has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Schwarzeneg is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Kopo. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped. Kopo looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. Schwarzeneg looking for the choke from the back. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Kopo defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Schwarzeneg biding his time, controlling Kopo. Kopo prevents Schwarzeneg from getting a body triangle.
That's four minutes gone in the round. I would not like to be Kopo right now.
Schwarzeneg is working the back position looking for the choke. Oh, he's slid into an armbar! Beautiful transition and Kopo taps out! Fantastic Jiu Jitsu from Schwarzeneg.
