Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, The Champ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Paul Harris! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Chris Downing and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Harris takes a swing at Champ's ribcage but misses. Harris stuffs the takedown attempt from Champ. Champ gets slowly back to his feet. The Champ seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Champ misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Champ feints and as Harris raises his hands in defense, Champ changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Champ stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Harris swivels though and keeps the full guard. Champ knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Harris on the ground. Harris working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Champ doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Harris is tightening it up a little... Champ has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Champ reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Champ taps out! nice BJJ there by Harris!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Paul Harris!
