Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Phillip Schreiber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sven Hjernson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hjernson is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Poirot theme. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Phillip Schreiber! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Sven Hjernson! The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Roosa Järviläinen and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hjernson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Schreiber paws at him with a jab and circles away. Schreiber misses with a looping left. Schreiber misses with a few strikes there.
Hjernson lands with an overhand left.
It looks like Phillip Schreiber has been cut. Hjernson gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Schreiber is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Schreiber lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Schreiber stands and throws Hjernson's legs to the side, diving into side control. Schreiber working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Schreiber is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Hjernson is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hjernson pushes Schreiber away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Schreiber gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hjernson struggling a bit here. Schreiber has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Hjernson! Hjernson tries to hold on but Schreiber pushes him away. Schreiber sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Schreiber gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks! Schreiber shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Hjernson is trying to defend but Schreiber finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Schreiber moves into full mount! Hjernson won't be happy about that! Hjernson is controlling an arm, preventing Schreiber from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Schreiber putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Schreiber controlling his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Hjernson is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Schreiber stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. Schreiber looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Schreiber scores a takedown into full mount! Schreiber controlling the position easily from mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Schreiber prevents Hjernson from getting the reversal. Schreiber punishing his opponent with strikes. Schreiber content just to control the position here. Hjernson wants to hold on but Schreiber pushes him away. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hjernson is trying to get back to his feet but can't. Hjernson is looking to improve his position but Schreiber isn't that keen on the idea. Hjernson is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Schreiber scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Hjernson is not content to let Schreiber control the position. Schreiber tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Hjernson is looking for a sweep. The referee asks Schreiber politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Schreiber prefers to stall for the moment though. The strikes coming from Schreiber are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Schreiber in side control lands a decent elbow.
That's one minute gone in the round. Schreiber remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Schreiber misses with the ground and pound. Schreiber slows the pace down. Schreiber advances to full mount. A nice elbow there by Schreiber.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Schreiber looking to control but Hjernson is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Schreiber moves to the back position. Even with his hooks in, Schreiber manages to miss with strikes from the back. Schreiber scores with some strikes to the side of the head there. Good, points scoring shots.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Hjernson trying to control the hands but Schreiber breaks the grip. Schreiber has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Hjernson's body.
Schreiber seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Hjernson for as long as he can get away with. Schreiber has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Schreiber is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Hjernson defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. Hjernson covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.
Schreiber is throwing punches to the body, looking to soften Hjernson up.
Schreiber is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Hjernson is defending well though. Schreiber let's go of the attempt for now. Hjernson rolls, trying to escape but Schreiber keeps control of the position.
I would not like to be Hjernson right now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Schreiber lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns Hjernson.

Schreiber working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Hjernson is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Schreiber has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Hjernson taps out!
