Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Michael Weston!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Stu Hughes!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Sam Margolis and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Weston moves in looking to clinch but Hughes pushes him off.

Hughes forces Weston back against the cage and clinches.

Hughes manages to break the clinch.

Weston gets a takedown into half guard.
Hughes is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Hughes is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Weston scores with a couple of nice shots.
Weston throwing shots but Hughes is blocking nicely.
Weston drops an elbow to the side of Hughes's head.
Weston is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Hughes keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Weston throws a strike but Hughes avoids it easily and moves to full guard.

Weston throws a strike but Hughes rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Weston is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Michael Weston.

Hughes closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Weston's guard.
Weston is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Hughes wants to get up but he can't break Weston's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Hughes shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Weston napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Hughes is looking to take a break and control but Weston is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Hughes controls the position from side control.
Hughes fails to land a wild elbow strike.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Michael Weston will probably get the nod.

Weston is trying hard to land a takedown here. Hughes sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Weston shoots in and bounces Hughes off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Hughes has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Weston can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Hughes looking for a guillotine here but Weston defends easily.

Hughes had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Weston defends it easily.
Hughes is breathing heavily.

Hughes has an active guard here but Weston has managed to pass into half guard.
Weston trying to pass the guard but Hughes defending well.
Hughes has a hand on Weston's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Weston takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

BOOM! Weston connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Weston landing strikes from the mount and Hughes is in trouble!
Hughes really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Weston. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Hughes bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Michael Weston overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Weston has his feet on Hughes's thighs here. He's pushed Hughes off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Hughes screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
