Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jon Snow!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kerry Lawson!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Ian Loll and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lawson checks a leg kick.
Snow uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Lawson.
Snow steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Lawson.
Snow tries a low kick but Lawson avoids it.
Lawson misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Snow throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Snow.
Lawson is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Snow.
Lawson checks a low kick from Snow.
Snow is looking to chop away at Lawson's legs.
Snow throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.


It looks like Kerry Lawson has been cut.
Snow shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Lawson as he jumps to the side.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Snow uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Lawson.
Snow finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Lawson misses with an uppercut. Snow saw that one coming.
Lawson lands with a good body shot.
Lawson throws the left hand but Snow avoids the punch easily.

Snow shoots in looking for a takedown but Lawson manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Snow's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

A nice leg kick lands there from Snow.

Snow uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Lawson.
Nice defenses there by Snow.
Snow keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Lawson.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

and Snow counters with a head kick.
Lawson checks a low kick from Snow.
Lawson missing with a left hand there. Snow was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Lawson wants to clinch.

It looks like Jon Snow has been cut.
Snow turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Lawson misses with a left hand
and Snow counters with a low kick, right behind Lawson 's knee.
Lawson throws a jab when Snow was well out of range.
Snow will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Lawson throws a hook but Snow blocks it.
Lawson misses with an uppercut.

Lawson moves into range and clinches up with Snow.
Lawson is trying to push Snow away but Snow has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Lawson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

A head punch blocked on the inside by Snow.
Lawson has had enough of the clinch but Snow keeps him there for the moment.
Lawson tries to circle away but Snow has him pinned against the cage.

Snow throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Snow tried to score with a low kick but Lawson checks it.
Lawson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Snow was well out of range. Poor timing from Lawson.
Snow lands a leg kick that knocks Lawson off balance momentarily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Lawson scores with the left hand. Snow knows he should have avoided that one.
Kerry Lawson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Snow is looking to slow Lawson down with leg kicks.

Lawson might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Snow throws out a leg kick but Lawson moves out of range and Snow only half commits.

That kick from Snow tenderised Lawson's leg. Lawson is trying to keep his angry face on.
Snow lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Lawson takes a swing at Snow's ribcage but misses.

Snow shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Lawson keeping full guard, as Snow tries to pass.

Snow looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Snow tries to pass to full mount but Lawson defends it.
Lawson wants to control but Snow is keeping busy.

Snow is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Snow thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Lawson's head.
Snow is pressing down on Lawson's thigh, looking to free his foot. Lawson is holding on for now.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Snow is working for a kimura but Lawson is defending it quite comfortably.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Snow shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Lawson pinned against the cage. Lawson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
The fighters circling - Lawson throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Snow walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Lawson checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

A bone on bone clash there as Lawson blocks the leg kick.
Lawson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Snow ducks under a wild hook from Lawson.
Lawson looks to throw the jab but Snow is out of range.
Lawson lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Snow at a distance.

Lawson throws a big shot that misses.
Snow feints and then cracks Lawson's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Lawson down.
Snow throws a head kick but Lawson moves out of range.
Lawson misses with a wild body shot.
Lawson looks to throw the jab but Snow is out of range.
A swing and a miss from Lawson.
Snow fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Lawson.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Lawson.
A slow jab from Lawson misses its intended target.
Jon Snow is winning the standup battle so far.
Snow moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Lawson misses with a hook.

Snow closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Lawson's guard.
Snow controls from within his opponent's guard.

Snow trying to control the position from guard on top but Lawson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Snow trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Snow trying to control but Lawson is working from the bottom.
Snow advances to half guard.
Lawson wants to get back to his feet.
Jon Snow overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Lawson scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Snow manages to mount him!

Snow lands a big shot there that rocks Lawson but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Snow has hold of Lawson's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Lawson manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Snow looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.

Snow is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Lawson is forced to tap! Great finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:53 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Jon Snow!
An out of breath Jon Snow thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
