Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Juan Pieree!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Randy War!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pieree throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around War's waist but War gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Pieree off to one side.
War misses with a few strikes there.
Nice sprawl there from War as Pieree shoots in.

Pieree decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Pieree frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
War is squirming around, avoiding Pieree's attempts to control the action.
War manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Pieree seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pieree's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Pieree is stalling here. War is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Pieree seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and War has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Pieree pushes War away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, War gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Pieree is looking to regain half guard here but War keeps moving and retains side control.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Pieree looks for a takedown but War sprawls well.

Pieree is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and War defends it well.

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
War staying busy and making it hard for Pieree to control.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Pieree.
Pieree lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
Pieree wants to control but War manages to buck him off and is now in Pieree's guard! Nice work there by War!
War is breathing heavily.
Pieree wants to stand up but War is controlling him.

Pieree keeping full guard, as War tries to pass.
War must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Pieree is working an open guard so War takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
War stuffs the takedown.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
War tries for a takedown but Pieree circles away easily

and Pieree counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for War!
Pieree prevents War from getting the reversal.
War flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
Pieree throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Pieree cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
War is desperately trying to improve his position but Pieree has a good base and remains in mount.
War regains half guard.
War works his way to full guard. Good work.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


War closes the distance but Pieree moves to the side

so Pieree counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
War looking for a sweep. Not yet War, not yet.
War wants to get back to his feet but Pieree is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Pieree looking to sit in guard and control but War gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
War wants to stand but Pieree is controlling his posture from full guard.
Pieree keeping moving, preventing War from controlling successfully.

Pieree looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
War stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pieree swivels though and keeps the full guard.
War throwing strikes from guard but Pieree blocks nicely.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Pieree clinches.

Pieree manages to pull guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Pieree working a defensive guard here.
Pieree manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. War manages to get himself to full guard.
Pieree pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. War is keeping the position for now.
War is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
War is looking to stall here but Pieree recovers full guard.

Pieree pushes War off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
War on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Pieree throws a head kick but War moves out of range.
Randy War seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
War is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Pieree.
Pieree closes the distance but War moves to the side

and War counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Pieree's guard now.
Pieree wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and War is now in half guard.

The fighters are battling for position here. Pieree manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
War preventing the sweep.

War avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Pieree is controlling War's posture.
Randy War has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Pieree preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Pieree, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
