Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mark Edwards (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leif Nygard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Edwards comes to the cage accompanied by The Who - Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting. Nygard has chosen Dread Zeppelin - Immigrant Song as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Edwards throws a lazy right hand but Nygard sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Edwards takes one to the chin there.
Nice defenses there by Edwards.
Edwards connects with a solid leg kick.
Edwards drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Nygard takes one to the chin there.
Edwards is looking to chop away at Nygard's legs.
A telegraphed right hand from Nygard misses the target.
Edwards misses with a hook.
Edwards takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Nygard scores with a body shot.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Nygard cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Nygard fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Edwards manages to avoid it.
Nygard connects with a body shot that sends Edwards's belly button to the back.
Edwards ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Edwards ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Nygard moves away.
Nygard tries to land a front kick but Edwards steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Nygard misses with a low kick as Edwards jumps back.

Edwards misses with an uppercut. Nygard saw that one coming.
Edwards cracks a nice hook into Nygard's ribs.
Nygard throws a hook but Edwards avoids it easily.
Nygard uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Edwards.
Nygard avoids the body shot from Edwards.
Nygard scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Edwards darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Nygard.
Nygard dodges the punch combination from Edwards.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Nygard misses with a wild body shot.
Nygard slips a straight right by Edwards.
Nygard swings for the body but Edwards moves out of range.
Edwards thows a body shot but no joy.
Edwards has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Nygard.
Edwards looks to land a body kick but Nygard moved away.

Nygard fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Edwards manages to avoid it.
Nygard scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Nygard connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Edwards with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Nygard to score with a decent uppercut.
Nygard moves out of range of the strikes.
Edwards throws a body punch but Nygard moves out of range.
Nygard connects with a looping right hand.
Edwards is rocked!
Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Nygard engages and cracks Edwards with a massive lead left hook - Edwards tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Nygard is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!
