Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mirko Emelianenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Act A Fool (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mirko Emelianenko looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Act A Fool! The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Anni Minnemäki and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A Fool fails with the takedown. Emelianenko scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Emelianenko throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Emelianenko is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. A Fool knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Emelianenko throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and A Fool works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure. Emelianenko has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Emelianenko throwing shots but A Fool is blocking nicely. Emelianenko is looking to take a break and control but A Fool is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. A Fool wants to get back to full guard. Emelianenko wants to control but A Fool is keeping him busy. Emelianenko is breathing heavily. A Fool gets full guard.

Emelianenko really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. A Fool is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. A Fool throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Emelianenko throws a big elbow that misses. A Fool avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. A Fool is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Emelianenko is controlling him. A Fool looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Emelianenko stopping the sweep attempt from A Fool. A Fool trying to keep a closed guard but Emelianenko is proving a slippery customer.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Emelianenko can't escape the position.

Mirko Emelianenko dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
No luck for Emelianenko with that takedown attempt. Emelianenko throws a right hand that A Fool ducks under and follows up with a left that A Fool also avoids with ease. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from A Fool. A Fool fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Emelianenko manages to avoid it. A Fool closes this distance looking for a takedown but Emelianenko circles away. A Fool looks for the body kick but Emelianenko saw that one coming. A Fool avoids a punch combination nicely.
Horrible takedown by A Fool or perhaps it was just good defense by Emelianenko which made him look bad. Mirko Emelianenko has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Act A Fool. A Fool shoots in and drives through. Emelianenko sprawls well. Emelianenko fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but A Fool avoids it really well and circles away. Emelianenko tries to clinch there but A Fool circles away.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Emelianenko shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says A Fool as he avoids it easily. A Fool throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Emelianenko's waist but Emelianenko gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing A Fool off to one side. Emelianenko tries to clinch up. A Fool lands with a slapping head kick. Emelianenko leaves A Fool with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Emelianenko throws a right hand that A Fool ducks under and follows up with a left that A Fool also avoids with ease. A thudding body kick lands there by A Fool!
Emelianenko stuffs the takedown. Emelianenko tries for a takedown but A Fool sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. A Fool tries to keep at a distance but Emelianenko has taken the fight into the clinch. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Emelianenko pulls A Fool into guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Emelianenko is trying to keep A Fool in close.

Emelianenko fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Emelianenko tries to clinch there but A Fool circles away.
Emelianenko keeps the fight on the outside. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Act A Fool will probably get the nod - 10:9. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
A Fool moves in looking to clinch but Emelianenko pushes him off. Emelianenko fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with A Fool, pushing him back against the cage. Emelianenko keeps control of A Fool as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Emelianenko wants to take the fight to the mat but A Fool manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Emelianenko goes for a takedown in the clinch but A Fool prevents it.
A Fool is looking to break free of the clinch but Emelianenko has double underhooks. A Fool ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. A Fool no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. A Fool is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

That's one minute gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Emelianenko accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Mirko Emelianenko overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Both fighters are breathing heavily. A Fool will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Emelianenko gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Emelianenko landing some decent shots from guard. A Fool has momentary wrist control but Emelianenko slips an elbow through the middle. A Fool looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Emelianenko stands up and waves to A Fool to follow him. A Fool fails with a takedown attempt from distance. A Fool closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Emelianenko sneaks back into half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Emelianenko slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Emelianenko is on top in guard.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Mirko Emelianenko. I think Emelianenko has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
