PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Suliman Kane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Timbo Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Lee's choice of entrance music: Liar and a Thieft. Timbo Lee will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Suliman Kane!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Timbo Lee!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Arvi Lind.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kane changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lee tries to avoid it but Kane manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lee to the ground. Lee escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Kane fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Lee fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Kane looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Lee dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Kane avoids the body shot from Lee.

Kane shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Lee manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Kane drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kane jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Lee can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Kane controls the pace.
Kane postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Kane is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kane prevents Lee from getting back to his feet.
Lee wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Kane manages to pass to side control.
Kane really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
