Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marcus Brandao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vadim Kalashnikov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brandao comes to the cage accompanied by The White Stripes - Seven Nation Army. Kalashnikov has chosen Leningrad Cowboys - Those Were The Days as his entrance music. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Marcus Brandao! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Vadim Kalashnikov! The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Wagner Zegers and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A head kick misses from Kalashnikov. Kalashnikov jabbing away but nothing is landing. Kalashnikov slips under a jab. Kalashnikov lands a really nice looking cross but Brandao seems unphased.
It looks like Marcus Brandao has been cut. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Brandao crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Kalashnikov - the referee stops the clock and Brandao gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Kalashnikov. Brandao manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Kalashnikov feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Brandaos jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Brandao lands a head shot. Brandao uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Kalashnikov. Brandao throws a head kick that misses. Kalashnikov swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Brandao swings widly with a right hand
and Kalashnikov counters with a leg kick. Kalashnikov feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Brandao's calf. Kalashnikov looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Brandao blocks a jab. Kalashnikov connects with a nice looking jab.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kalashnikov closes the distance and clinches. Kalashnikov tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Kalashnikov lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Brandao backwards. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Kalashnikov throws a punch but it's blocked by Brandao. Kalashnikov putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Brandao in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. A nice right hand lands inside from Kalashnikov. Brandao misses with a punch to the body.
Brandao wants to break the clinch but can't.
Kalashnikov doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Brandao has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Brandao's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Brandao is rocked!
Marcus Brandao's cut is getting worse. Kalashnikov lands a big right hand that drops Brandao! The killer instinct kicks in and Kalashnikov finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by Kalashnikov!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Vadim Kalashnikov! Vadim Kalashnikov is the new super heavyweight champion! A very excited looking Vadim Kalashnikov made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
