Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Eashy Eash (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Woods (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Eashy Eash!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mike Woods!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Alyssa Summers and Jorge Garcia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eash fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Eash throws a nice looking combination but Woods bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
A combination from Eash does no damage.
Woods tries to clinch up but Eash circles away and keeps his distance.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Eash gets underhooks to prevent Woods's takedown attempt.
Woods has Eash pushed against the cage.

Woods decides to pull guard.

Eash drops back, looking for a kneebar! Woods looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Woods looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Woods!
Woods is looking to take a break and control but Eash is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Eash being controlled for a moment.

Woods is trying to get an arm triangle but Eash is defending well.
Woods controls the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Eash struggling a bit here.
Eash regains half guard there - taking advantage of Woods's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.
Woods passes to full mount!
Eash avoids a series of strikes thrown by Woods.
Woods misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Woods looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Eash holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Woods tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Woods trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Eash looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!
Eash covering up well under a series of strikes from Woods.

Eash tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Eash reaches up to try and control the position but Woods seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Eash rolls and tries to escape and now Woods has his back!
Eash is trying to stand back up.

Eash is in a bad position with Woods working for a choke. Eash manages to spin nicely into guard and the danger is over for the moment.
Woods is trying to keep Eash in close.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mike Woods dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Eash displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Woods.
Eash needs to keep his hands up - Woods had a free shot at his head there.
Eash throws a head kick that misses.
Eash really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Woods misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Eash keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Eashy Eash has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Woods.

Eash tries to sprawl but Woods drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Woods controlling the action here.

Woods is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Eash defends it well.

Woods is looking to advance position but Eash won't allow it.
Eash flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Eash is not content to let Woods control the position.
Woods controlling the pace.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Eash wants to control but Woods is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Eash gets full guard.
Eash is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Eash manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Woods tries to clinch up.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Eash.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Eash shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Eash wants to lay and pray for a moment but Woods keeps working.

Woods looking for submissions from an awkward position here.

Woods kicks Eash off and gets back to his feet.
Woods moves in looking to clinch but Eash pushes him off.
Woods fails in his attempt to clinch.
Eash has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Woods dives in and grabs Eash's left leg, looking for a takedown. Eash pushes down on Woods's head and hops out.
Eash shoots in and drives through. Woods sprawls well.
Woods is looking to clinch but Eash is avoiding it.

Eash drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Woods manages to work his way to half guard, despite Eash's best efforts.
Woods is staying active underneath Eash, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Woods is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Eash pulls his head out easily.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Eash is looking to take a break and control but Woods is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Woods gets back to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Mike Woods will probably get the nod - 10:9.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!


Woods will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Woods shoots in for a takedown but Eash shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Woods misses with a takedown attempt

and Eash counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Eashy Eash has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Woods.
Eash cracks Woods with a solid left hand.
Woods keeping full guard, as Eash tries to pass.
Eash sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Woods's guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Eash controlling the pace.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Eash is looking for a kimura here.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Eash performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Eash is just content to waste time from the top position. Woods takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Woods is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Eash is aware though and is defending well.
Eash is working Woods over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Woods trying to keep a closed guard but Eash is proving a slippery customer.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Eash slips nicely into half guard.
Woods wants to control but Eash is keeping busy.

Eash has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Woods defend it? Eash steps over the head and cranks it - Woods is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Eash!
