Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Samuel Elazei!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Yukii Ogata!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Hugh Johnson and John Mangel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Elazei misses with a series of wild punches.
Elazei defending well as Ogata loads up on a big left hand.
Ogata shoots in for a double leg but Elazei sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
A punch combination from Ogata misses.
Nice sprawl there from Elazei as Ogata shoots in.
Ogata takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Elazei catches Ogata with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Elazei moves into the clinch successfully.
Ogata tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Elazei just stands there and leans against the cage.
Samuel Elazei has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Yukii Ogata.
Ogata fails to pull guard.

Ogata drags the fight down to the ground.

Ogata looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Elazei has picked Ogata up and slammed him! Ogata can't keep hold of the triangle and Elazei manages to pass to side control!
Elazei is looking to take a break and control but Ogata is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Ogata is looking to reverse the position.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ogata is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Ogata manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ogata is not content to let Elazei control the position.
Ogata makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Ogata.

Ogata looking for a guillotine here but Elazei defends easily.

Ogata looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Elazei is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Ogata has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Elazei is looking to defend but Ogata has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Elazei! Ogata pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Elazei taps out and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Yukii Ogata!
