Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jim Duggan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Curtis Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Duggan comes into the arena with Pantera -Slaughtered blaring out of the sound system. Jones has chosen Lacuna Coil - Without Fear as his entrance music. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jim Duggan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
19 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Curtis Jones! The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Roger Salmon and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones looking to score a takedown here. Duggan is defending well but Jones drives through and ends up in Duggan's guard. Jones looking to pass the guard. Duggan can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Jones controls the pace. Jones tries to free his leg and advance position but Duggan is retaining full guard. Jones trying to control the position from guard on top but Duggan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Curtis Jones was stalling too much, according to the referee. Duggan misses with a looping left. Duggan swats away the attempt to clinch by Jones. Jones fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Duggan, pushing him back against the cage. Jones stops a takedown attempt from Duggan.
Jones is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Duggan is defending well. Jones comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
It looks like Jim Duggan has been cut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones lands a knee to the head.
Duggan is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Jones pulls him back up using the underhooks. Jones ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Jones no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Jones is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Duggan throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Duggan has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Duggan accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Jones manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Duggan manages to get himself to full guard.

You can see the frustration on Duggan's face as Jones controls the position. Duggan tries to buck Jones off but Jones is having none of it. Jones taking a breather here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones lands some shots froms side control. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Duggan gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Duggan is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Jones moves to the back position. Jones scores with punches and elbows. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Jones avoiding Duggan 's attempts to control his hands. Jones tries to get the hooks in deep but Duggan pushed the leg off.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Duggan rolls, trying to escape but Jones keeps control of the position.
Jones slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

Duggan is working hard here to advance position. Jones tries to get the hooks in deep but Duggan pushed the leg off. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Jones has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Duggan's body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Duggan's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Jones keeps control of the position as Duggan tries to break free.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jones looking for the RNC. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Curtis Jones dominated that round. The cut man is working on Jim Duggan's cut. That's time! Duggan's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Jones is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Duggan has managed to free his arm - good work. Duggan is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Jones pulls his head out easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones works his way into side control. You can see the frustration on Duggan's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Jones staying calm. Jones has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Duggan throws a sloppy body shot
and Jones counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Duggan is trying to push Jones away but Jones has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Jones is looking to take this one to the mat. Jones prevents Duggan from breaking the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Duggan walks away with a smile on his face. Jones gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Duggan fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Jones manages to avoid it. Jones shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Duggan keeping moving, preventing Jones from controlling successfully. This has been an exciting period of action! Jones is stalling in the full guard. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Duggan looking for a sweep. Not yet Duggan, not yet.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Curtis Jones was stalling too much, according to the referee. Duggan shoots in looking for a takedown but Jones manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Duggan's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Jones shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Duggan as he avoids it easily. Jim Duggan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Curtis Jones. Duggan waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Jones. Jones shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Duggan pinned against the cage. Duggan gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Duggan misses the body punch and Jones counters with a series of strikes. Duggan will be more careful next time no doubt. Duggan misses the shot to the body. Duggan misses with a body shot.

and Jones counters with a shoot takedown. Duggan fights it but they end up in guard. Jones decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Jim Duggan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jones rushes Duggan and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Jones fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Jones breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Duggan stuffs the takedown attempt from Jones. Jones gets slowly back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jones shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Duggan but Duggan pushes him off and we're back to square one. Jones is breathing heavily. Jones closes this distance looking for a takedown but Duggan circles away. Jones scoring well with a low kick there.
Duggan misses with a left hand and Jones counters with a straight right hand. Duggan scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. The fight stays on the outside here - Jones looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Jones avoids the body shot from Duggan.
Duggan ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jones moves away. Jones connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Jones swats away the attempt to clinch by Duggan. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Jones shoots for a takedown but Duggan saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Duggan connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Duggan misses the shot to the body. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Curtis Jones showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Jim Duggan's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Duggan looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Jones gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Jones trying to stand up but can't free himself from Duggan's guard. Duggan has his foot on Jones's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Jones works his way back into a safe position though. Jones slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Duggan manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Jones is trying to control but can't.

Duggan eventually gives up the hold. Curtis Jones has got the better of the ground game so far. Jones is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Duggan's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Duggan's back! Jones looking for the RNC. Jones wants to control the position but Duggan frees himself and scrambles - Jones manages to regain control in side control.
Duggan keeps Jones under control for a moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Duggan is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Jones just content to control the position. Jones connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Duggan some visible discomfort.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones is looking to take a break and control but Duggan is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Jones throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Curtis Jones is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Jones tries to advance to mount but can't. Duggan is trying to improve his position. Jones has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Duggan throws a series of punches but Jones moves out of range.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A slow jab from Duggan misses its intended target. Duggan gets caught napping as Jones dives in and scores a takedown. Duggan manages to retain guard. Duggan is trying to keep Jones in close.
Jones not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Duggan looking to hit a scissor sweep but Jones is one step ahead there. Jones wants to control from the top but Duggan keeps moving. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Jones seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Jones has been the more effective fighter overall so far. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Curtis Jones wasn't active enough on the ground. Duggan defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Jones.
And that's the end of the fight! Curtis Jones comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Jones has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
