PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vladimir Kickasschenkov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Don Cramer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Vladimir Kickasschenkov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Don Cramer!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Yves DeLean and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kickasschenkov tries to close the distance and clinch but Cramer swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Kickasschenkov cracks Cramer with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Cramer lands a big right hand that sends Kickasschenkov crashing to the mat! Cramer stays standing though and waves Kickasschenkov back to his feet!


Kickasschenkov is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kickasschenkov doesn't manage to clinch there - Cramer circles away.
Oh Kickasschenkov is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Cramer steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Kickasschenkov.

Cramer clinches.

Cramer's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Cramer fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Cramer throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Kickasschenkov seems to have got his legs back now.
Kickasschenkov moves out of range as Cramer strikes.
Kickasschenkov misses with a hook. Cramer ducked under it nicely.
Cramer tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kickasschenkov paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Kickasschenkov closes the distance and clinches.
Cramer misses with a knee strike.
Cramer tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Kickasschenkov avoids it.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Kickasschenkov tries to pull guard but Cramer forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Cramer breaks from the clinch.

Kickasschenkov has closed the distance and engaged Cramer in a clinch.

Kickasschenkov manages to pull guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Kickasschenkov manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Cramer manages to get himself to full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cramer throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Kickasschenkov trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Kickasschenkov has gone for a leg lock! Cramer slips out almost immediately though and dives into Kickasschenkov's guard.

Kickasschenkov escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Cramer gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Kickasschenkov working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Cramer doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Cramer manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Kickasschenkov has an active guard here but Cramer has managed to pass into half guard.
Cramer really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kickasschenkov. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Cramer is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Cramer wants to stand but Kickasschenkov has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Cramer slows the pace down in half guard.
Let's hope that Cramer has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Don Cramer wasn't active enough on the ground.
Cramer throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
enabling Kickasschenkov to counter with a crisp jab.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Cramer uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kickasschenkov.
Kickasschenkov misses the shot to the body.
Kickasschenkov will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

and Cramer counters with a crisp one two that drops Kickasschenkov! Cramer thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Kickasschenkov to his feet! Kickasschenkov is in big trouble!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kickasschenkov lands with an overhand left.

Cramer clinches up against the cage.

Kickasschenkov is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Cramer to keep the fight standing.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Cramer tries a knee to the head but Kickasschenkov blocks it.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Cramer is pushing Kickasschenkov up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Cramer using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Kickasschenkov has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Don Cramer dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Kickasschenkov avoids a punch combination nicely.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Kickasschenkov!
Vladimir Kickasschenkov is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
A big left from Kickasschenkov misses.
Kickasschenkov swings widly with a right hand
and Cramer counters with a huge left! Kickasschenkov is in big trouble! He's backing up but Cramer isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Kickasschenkov from any more damage. A dominating finish by Cramer!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:23 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Don Cramer!
