Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jayce Calhoun (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shawn Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jackson has chosen Hustlin as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Calhoun darts in trying to clinch
and Jackson counters with a nice uppercut.
Calhoun throws a sloppy head kick
and Jackson counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Jackson.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Calhoun looking for a sweep. Not yet Calhoun, not yet.
Jackson gets to his feet. Calhoun looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Jackson drives through with a takedown into Calhoun's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Calhoun can't keep his opponent in guard - Jackson advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Calhoun is looking to control Jackson's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Calhoun avoid being mounted?

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Jackson connects with a nice short shot to Calhoun's temple.
Jackson is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
