Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Fred Magician (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zak Houk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zak Houk is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Fred Magician!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Zak Houk!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Houk shoots for a takedown but Magician saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Magician shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Houk pinned against the cage. Houk gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Houk throws a head kick that misses.
Magician closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Houk's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Magician in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Magician slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Magician decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Houk, up you get!
Nice sprawl there from Magician as Houk shoots in.
Magician tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Houk swivels and escapes.
The fight stays on the outside here - Houk looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Houk tries to clinch up but Magician circles away and keeps his distance.
Magician avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Houk paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Houk slaps away a takedown attempt from Magician, before circling back to the center of the mat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Fred Magician. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Magician darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Magician seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Houk does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Magician wants to pass to mount but Houk is defending the position.
Magician prevents Houk from improving his position.
Magician is trying to control. Houk wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Houk is trying to get back to full guard.
Magician is trying for a kimura here. Houk looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Magician wins by kimura!
