Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Donny Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Abbott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Davis's entrance music is Monkey Junction. A fine choice. Abbott is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by I Shot Marvin in the Face. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Donny Davis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, David Abbott!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Yves DeLean and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Abbott.
Abbott misses with a double jab
and Davis counters with a stiff right hand.


It looks like David Abbott has been cut.
David Abbott seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Davis misses with a series of wild punches.
Davis moves away from the strike by Abbott.
Abbott throws a series of punches but Davis avoids them all with ease.
Davis lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Davis slips a jab from Abbott.
Abbott throws a right hand that misses
and Abbott takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Abbott misses with a double jab.
Abbott rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Davis counters with a nice low kick that buckles Abbott's knee momentarily.
Abbott misses with a left hand

and Davis counters with a crisp one two that drops Abbott! Davis thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Abbott to his feet! Abbott is in big trouble!


Abbott is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Davis looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Davis lands a left and a right that send Abbott crashing to the mat, dazed. Davis thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Abbott is still on wobbly legs! Can Davis finish him?
Sloppy strikes from Davis. Those never looked like landing.
Abbott seems to have recovered his senses.
Davis looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Abbott moves forwards but Davis connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Davis misses with a combination
enabling Abbott to counter with a crisp jab.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Davis misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Abbott misses with the combination.
Abbott lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.


It looks like Donny Davis has been cut.
Davis uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Abbott.
Abbott throws an off balance right hand

and Davis counters with a crisp one two that drops Abbott! Davis thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Abbott to his feet! Abbott is in big trouble!


That has opened up David Abbott's cut even more.
Davis lands a glancing blow to the side of Abbott's head.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
A combination from Davis does no damage.
Abbott misses with a right hand
and Davis makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Abbott throws a jab but it's blocked by Davis.
Davis connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Abbott throws a jab when Davis was well out of range.

Davis cracks Abbott with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Davis has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Abbott to stand back up!
Davis is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Davis throws a nice looking combination but Abbott bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Davis rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Abbott moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Davis on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Abbott avoids a kick to the body.
Davis bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Davis misses with a wild combination.
Davis pulls out of a head kick attempt.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Davis throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Abbott, as that shot connected.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Donny Davis dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

and Davis counters with a big head kick but Abbott shrugs it off.
Donny Davis is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Davis loads up on a big right hand but Abbott slips the punch.

Davis drops Abbott with a beautiful combination! Abbott stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Davis is looking for the KO!
Davis is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Abbott can do to turn this around?
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Davis misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Davis closes the distance and lands a crisp combination that knocks Abbott out cold! Abbott corner are devastated, head in hands behind our commentary position. Poor guys.
