Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tyler Kendall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zdeno Chara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tyler Kendall! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Zdeno Chara! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Robert Douchet and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chara misses with an attempted mid kick.
Chara has closed the distance and engaged Kendall in a clinch.
Kendall misses with a knee to the head. Chara decides to pull guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Chara pushes Kendall off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Kendall throws a head kick that misses. Chara tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kendall swivels and escapes. Zdeno Chara seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Chara gets in close and instigates a clinch. Kendall with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Chara is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kendall sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Chara's guard. Chara missing with punches from the bottom.
Kendall is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Chara has managed to free his arm - good work. Chara trying to control from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Chara flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Kendall wants to work for an arm triangle but Chara is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Chara desperately trying to maintain half guard. Chara is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Kendall's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Kendall's back! Kendall has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Chara.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Chara is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

Kendall defends a prolonged rear naked choke attempt and turns nicely into his opponent's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Zdeno Chara dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Tyler Kendall has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Zdeno Chara. Chara jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Kendall walks away with a smile on his face. Chara gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Chara will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chara tries to clinch but Kendall is having none of it. Kendall fails with a takedown attempt. Good work by Kendall as he checks the leg kick. Kendall tries a head kick but it misses.
Tyler Kendall is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Chara shoots for a takedown but Kendall saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Chara throws a push kick but Kendall slaps the foot to one side. Kendall misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Horrible takedown by Chara or perhaps it was just good defense by Kendall which made him look bad. Chara rushes Kendall and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Kendall using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Chara has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Chara wants to take the fight to the mat but Kendall manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Chara lands with a right to the head. Chara is trying to pull guard but Kendall turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Kendall keeps control of Chara as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Kendall keeps control of Chara as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Chara tries to score a body lock takedown but Kendall shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Kendall misses with a knee strike.

A close second round but Zdeno Chara will probably get the nod - 10:9. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Chara has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Chara tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Kendall smiles and moves away.
Chara shoots in looking for a takedown but Kendall manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Chara's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kendall shoots in for a takedown but Chara shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Chara shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Kendall sprawls well. Kendall wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Chara gets slowly back to his feet. Tyler Kendall has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Zdeno Chara. Chara closes the distance looking to clinch and Kendall counters with a head kick that drops Chara to the mat! Chara scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly! This has been an exciting period of action! Kendall keeps the fight on the outside. Chara tries to clinch but Kendall is having none of it. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Kendall.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Chara shoots in for a takedown but Kendall shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Kendall tries a head kick but it misses.

Kendall fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Chara avoids it really well and circles away. Kendall misses with a looping right.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chara shoots in and drives through. Kendall sprawls well. Chara misses with a takedown attempt - Kendall sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Chara takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Chara moves into the clinch successfully.
Chara jumps guard but Kendall turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Kendall throws a knee to the head but misses.
Kendall is defending well against a takedown attempt. Chara is working for takedown but Kendall is calmly controlling the position for now. Tyler Kendall has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Chara looking for a takedown.

Chara is trying to force a seperation but Kendall has the dominant position. Chara trying to control the position but instead, Kendall has worked for underhooks and has pushed Chara into the cage. Kendall tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
