Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ferenc Puskas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Leroy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). John Leroy has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Ferenc Puskas's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Puskas avoids the head kick by Leroy.
Leroy tries to close the distance and clinch up but Puskas swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Leroy with a poor takedown

so Puskas counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Puskas sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Leroy's guard.
Well, if Puskas is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Puskas throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Puskas decides to return to a standing position.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Leroy is trying hard to land a takedown here. Puskas sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Leroy throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Ferenc Puskas has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Leroy.

Puskas won't allow Leroy to get back to his feet.

We're going to have a standup here because Ferenc Puskas wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Puskas tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Leroy was well out of range. Poor timing from Puskas.
Leroy fails with the takedown

and Puskas moves into the clinch.

Puskas is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Leroy can't fight it off and eventually Puskas manages to take the fight to the floor. Leroy looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Leroy can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Puskas controls the pace.
Puskas throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Leroy works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Leroy is working an open guard so Puskas takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Puskas shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Leroy wants to improve his position but instead Puskas has moved into half guard.

Leroy really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Puskas. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

and Puskas counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Leroy!

Puskas gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Leroy lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Leroy.

Leroy shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Puskas as he jumps to the side.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Horrible takedown by Leroy or perhaps it was just good defense by Puskas which made him look bad.
