Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Trey Smith Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyroil Wallace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Tyroil Wallace enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Trey Smith Jr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tyroil Wallace!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Cecil Peabody and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Smith Jr throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Wallace tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Smith Jr is in Wallace's guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Smith Jr trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Smith Jr stops Wallace from standing up.
Smith Jr wants to control from the top but Wallace keeps moving.
Wallace is looking to stand up but Smith Jr isn't so interested in that idea.
Smith Jr has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Trey Smith Jr just wasn't active enough.
Wallace stuffs the takedown.
Smith Jr doesn't manage to clinch there - Wallace circles away.
Smith Jr changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Wallace tries to avoid it but Smith Jr manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Wallace to the ground. Wallace escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Smith Jr decides to stand up, so the ref orders Wallace to his feet.
Smith Jr shoots in looking for a takedown. Wallace tries to sprawl out of it but Smith Jr keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Wallace manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Trey Smith Jr. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Wallace connects with a single shot there.

Wallace pivots, looking for a leg kick but Smith Jr is out of range and Wallace settles back down.

Smith Jr seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Wallace has momentary wrist control but Smith Jr slips an elbow through the middle.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Wallace takes the fight into the clinch.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Wallace takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
With the fighters up against the cage, Wallace throws an elbow but misses.

Smith Jr dodges an elbow strike from Wallace.
Wallace pushes off an throws an elbow but Smith Jr leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Wallace throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Smith Jr blocks it with crossed arms.
Wallace creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.

Smith Jr tries to break free but Wallace pushes him back against the cage.

Smith Jr has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Wallace uses from the top position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Smith Jr has his feet on Wallace's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Wallace tries to sprawl but Smith Jr drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Smith Jr wants to pass to mount but Wallace is defending the position.
Smith Jr looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Wallace with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Smith Jr is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Wallace is just riding it out for now. Smith Jr eventually gives up the hold.
Wallace is trying to stand up here but Smith Jr is controlling him well.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Smith Jr is nestled in close to Wallace, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Smith Jr decides to stand up.
Wallace with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Smith Jr fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Wallace avoids it really well and circles away.
Smith Jr does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Smith Jr fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Wallace to the ground. Smith Jr is now in Wallace's guard.
Wallace wants to stand up but Smith Jr is controlling him.
Trey Smith Jr overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Wallace is breathing heavily.
Wallace is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Smith Jr stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Tyroil Wallace is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Smith Jr clinches up with Wallace and pushes him back against the cage.

Wallace is fighting off a takedown attempt but Smith Jr is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Wallace to the mat. Wallace regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!



Smith Jr closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Wallace to the mat! Wallace manages to get full guard.

Smith Jr drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Wallace manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Smith Jr has Wallace in his guard.

Wallace takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Smith Jr, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
