Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Thiago Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Junior Villia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Thiago Gracie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Junior Villia!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Alyssa Summers and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Villia does no damage.

Gracie shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Gracie was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Villia can't escape the position.
Gracie is landing with some decent strikes but Villia is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
The referee warns Villia that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Gracie tries to control but Villia wriggling away.
Gracie lands a heavy elbow.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Gracie tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Gracie jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Villia manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Gracie goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Villia has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Gracie but great work by Villia.

Gracie explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!

Gracie shoots in and gets a takedown into Villia's guard.
Villia is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Gracie might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Gracie stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Villia swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Thiago Gracie.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Villia has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Gracie is working away from the top position though.

Villia is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Gracie defends well.

Gracie drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Villia dives on top into guard.

Villia is looking for a sweep. Gracie is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Gracie seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Villia does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Villia is trying to control Gracie's posture but Gracie avoids it.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Gracie throws an elbow that misses. Villia uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Gracie's guard. Nice move by Villia!

Gracie pushes Villia off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

and Gracie counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Well Gracie has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
