Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Macadam Baird (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zipper Mednick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Eddie Farnsworth and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baird walks into a stiff left hand from Mednick.
Baird takes a swing at Mednick's ribcage but misses.
Mednick swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Baird shoots in and bounces Mednick off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mednick is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Mednick is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Baird might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Baird's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Mednick is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Baird has hold of Mednick's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Mednick manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Baird has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Mednick's face.
